Rohit Sharma was given the player of the match award for his massive 127 knock in the second innings. A lot of questions were raised on the team selection and leaving out Ravichandran
Ashwin in, but team India have answered them all with this fantastic win by gaining a 2-1 lead. Not many expected India to bounce back in such an emphatic manner after they were trailing by 99 runs at the halfway stage. But Rohit Sharma’s brilliance and Shardul Thakur’s contributions came to India’s rescue. A match for the ages, indeed.
