SRH – 134/9 (20)
DC – 139/2 (17.5)
Delhi Capitals won by 8 wkts
The Sunrisers have so much hardwork to do: six games to go now. In the sultry heat of the UAE, SRH ironically continue to tread on thin ice. They desperately need inspiration. They desperately need Warner. They need runs. Something to bowl at. The Delhi Capitals are at the other end of the desperation spectrum.
The bowlers gave nothing away, right from the wicket of Warner for a duck, and a paltry target of 135 faced them. After the loss of Shaw in the chase, Dhawan set things up stably, before Pant and Iyer pragmatically played out Rashid to grt stable at the backend of the innings, guiding the Capitals to a comfortably win with 13 balls to spare. They’ve managed to do it against one of the more fancied bowling attacks in the tournament (SRH Bowlers) which should give them a lot of confidence, and the fact that the young guns are coming of age and finishing games like a boss…😎
