Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, 33rd Match

SRH – 134/9 (20)
DC – 139/2 (17.5)

Delhi Capitals won by 8 wkts

The Sunrisers have so much hardwork to do: six games to go now. In the sultry heat of the UAE, SRH ironically continue to tread on thin ice. They desperately need inspiration. They desperately need Warner. They need runs. Something to bowl at. The Delhi Capitals are at the other end of the desperation spectrum.

The bowlers gave nothing away, right from the wicket of Warner for a duck, and a paltry target of 135 faced them. After the loss of Shaw in the chase, Dhawan set things up stably, before Pant and Iyer pragmatically played out Rashid to grt stable at the backend of the innings, guiding the Capitals to a comfortably win with 13 balls to spare. They’ve managed to do it against one of the more fancied bowling attacks in the tournament (SRH Bowlers) which should give them a lot of confidence, and the fact that the young guns are coming of age and finishing games like a boss…😎

Punjab Kings vs Rajasthan Royals, 32nd Match

Rajasthan Royals won by 2 runs

RR – 185 (20)
PBKS – 183/4 (20)

Punjab Kings needed 10 off 15, 8 off 12 and finally, just 4 off the final over. And yet, they have ended up losing by a couple of runs..How, how, how? How do the Kings keep doing this again and again and again?

Player of the Match
Kartik Tyagi

But spare a thought for young Tyagi. With hardly anything to defend in the final over, he stuck to his guns and bowled brilliantly. The Kings still should have gotten those four runs though. The chase was set up by the openers, KL and Mayank both taking turns at bossing the bowling, and it looked like one-way street even after they got out. Markram and Pooran seemed to have gotten the job done – well seemed to have is the right expression, because they didn’t. A thrilling game of cricket and you’d think that it was much-needed for the IPL after the way the previous two games went.

RR 185-10 (20 Ovs)

Our incompleteness, which never get completes

Take a look at the above photo. It is the logo of a company. The slogan above says “The complete man“. This is how the company subconsciously told us that we are incomplete. There is something missing in us. Something, which can be fixed if we buy that shirt.

Right from our birth, we start running to achieve things. Parents, specially Asian parents, value their child only when they score good academically. A student scoring 99% is still not satisfied because his friend scored 99.5%. We are always chasing the next big thing and are in the hope that tommorow is the day, when my life will finally come together.

Does this incompleteness ever ends? Aren’t you the same person with the same incompleteness before and after the completion of your goal? Of course there is small a moment of satisfaction, but is it really long lasting? It does not take even a day or two to again start feeling that something is missing. Only a few people realize how this loop never ends.

Now what’s the solution to all this rat race? Surely it is not chasing and desiring more right? The root cause of our suffering is the believe which society has told us that something is incomplete in us. One needs to understand that this is a mere assumption and not a fact. We are complete, even if we score good or bad, it does not matter.

Does this means we should stop working? No. There are two types of work, first is when you do things to feel happy and other when you are already happy and are just joyfully playing. The latter is what makes life really worth living.
