Why Do Most Indian Politicians Wear White Clothes?

Attires or clothes! Do they talk about your personality? Or you use them as a safeguard to cover what actually your personality is? Sometimes your clothes are contrary to your outlook and by donning them, you successfully present a pretentious you. That’s why “white” is construed as the dress code of our leaders and politicians.

For Indians, white clothes are meant to be worn at funerals. Probably that’s why once elected, the politicians do behave like we are dead for them. They don’t consider the voters after voting and pay no heed to their needs and demands.

They have to wear those white clothes as they think these can hide their dark reality. Unfortunately, in present days these white have become to be known as biggest names of corruption.

White is the colour of peace and non violence. These were the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of our nation. So most politicians wear white to symbolise that they stand for the nations peace.

White colour, like any other colour (saffron or green) is not associated with any relegion. So, wearing white, they send a message that they are not erring towards any religion/community and work for the collective good of the society.

Following my footsteps (1/10)

I love taking a walk whenever the voices puzzle me or let me put this straightforward… Umm…

I take a walk to escape from some chores (secret! Shh..) or sometimes to let myself get busy looking at people and everything they interact with so that I don’t get bored. And these days that eventually made me realise the beauty of doing so.

So, through these ten episodes, I will be letting you know everything I could interpret by watching HOOOMANS as some events really wanted me to remember them and keep it safe…

The uncle sitting on the bench beside me tried to tell his son (may be enacted),

“Be a man. Why are you sitting with a wooden piece? Go play with your brothers..”

We were in the park near the Ganges. And the boy was sitting there trying to play the girl’s flute , who was busy playing with his brothers.

The girl would smile whenever he put the flute near his lips and blew air softly. I never knew if she really loved what he played or felt pity that the boy would never be able to hear what a flute sounded like…

Women in Afghanistan

Women in Afghanistan will be banned from studying at university with men, the Taliban has announced.

Abdul Baqi Haqqani, the Taliban’s new minister of higher education, announced in a press conference in Kabul on Sunday that women would also be required to wear “Islamic hijab” during university classes, but did not clarify whether this meant a full face covering.

The new rules were issued a day after the Taliban hoisted their flag over the presidential palace in Kabul on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, signalling the beginning of the new government in Afghanistan.

The Taliban didn’t allow girls into schools and universities when they first ruled Afghanistan between 1996 to 2001. But in the last two decades, UNESCO reported an increase of girls in primary school education from almost zero to 2.5 million.

Schools in ultra-conservative Afghanistan were already widely segregated by gender, but up until now, students had attended university in mixed classes.

Last week, a few private universities in the country reopened their doors to students, using curtains to separate men and women, a measure that the minister of higher education said would not be enough for the Taliban.

Haqqani said he was confident that people would accept the new measures. “We have no issues ending the mixed education system,” he said. “People are Muslims, and they will accept it.”

Under the rules unveiled by Haqqani, some subjects contradicting “Islamic values” will be phased out at universities without any specification of which courses, and he said that they will lean on “technology” if there are no women professors to teach female students.

The new education policies came a day after a pro-Taliban rally involving 300 women mostly dressed in black niqabs. They women chanted slogans favouring the Islamists after attending a seminar on the benefits of gender segregation in Shaheed Rabbani Education University in Kabul.

But a university student told that the rally painted a misleading impression of the situation in the country.

“The Taliban are lying to everyone, and they are using women for their lies,” the student from Kabul said. “Otherwise, who would go on the streets asking to get oppressed and put inside a house for the rest of their lives. They just used the women to get something to use on the television screens and say, ‘look, Afghan women want gender segregation’.”

Players can “mine” blocks and then place them elsewhere, enabling them to build things. Many commentators have described the game’s physics system as unrealistic.
