Feminism

The food delivery woman knocked at my door and she just came up so early today. I asked her the reason and she said, “Raat hoyejachhe tai taratari chole elam (its getting late thats why I am in a hurry)”

For some people it would be obvious, for others it would be rebellious. They might end up being late with something lame as, “if boys can stay out late why can’t we?”
And here every definition of feminism, equality and respect start losing their existence.

Women now have started calculating their success comparing with men. Like by stating of being equal physically and mentally. Every species on earth has been unique for their features, and we are not bound to compare any of them.
Women has been worshipped since ages for their attributes their strength, their capabilities to rule and their intelligence. And we cannot disrespect the creator by being harsh and arrogant just to show ourselves equal to men. We bring up equality but it should end up being equity. People outside are given extra facilities and different treatment when introduced as women, they do so to make them equal to men, but end up being a threat to both the genders. There have been cases were men are not guilty but accused because he confronted a women. It is more like a winning a match by inheritance and sex and not by capabilities. Maybe this thought has come up because a large section of women are still under the threat of assualts and harassment. But criminals are to be accused not every men who walks across her in an empty road at night.
“She is a girl, pay her respect. Dont talk to her like that”
To the people who say these,
“Are you allowed to disrespect men out of nowhere? Are you allowed to talk nonsense to the other genders?”
An utopian society would be where a girl would get equal opportunities neither less nor more than men,
Equal facilities neither less nor more,
Equal results as per her capability, neither more nor less

That is feminism, where you see the human getting what “it” deserves on the basis of their deeds and not their sex.
Feminism has always been about equity
Not about dominating ideology and pulling excuses in the name of equality.

Teachers’ Day

Teaching is the most respected profession across the world. India has a long-standing tradition of Guru-Shishya relationship where Guru is revered more than even God or one’s parents. Teachers’ day is celebrated in India, every year on the 5th of September to commemorate the birth anniversary of our second president Dr Sarveapalli Radhakrishnan ( 1962 – 67 ) Dr.S.RadhaKrishnan was a renowned academician and a student-friendly teacher who enjoyed immense popularity amongst his proteges. Internationally, World Teacher’s day is celebrated every year on 5th Oct. to commemorate the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers. UNESCO started these celebrations in 1994 to celebrate teachers and the teaching professionals. The theme for this year’s World Teachers’ Day has been declared to be, “Young Teachers: The future of the Profession.”

Teachers are the architects of society. They are nation builders. The impact they have on their students cannot be measured in any terms. Starting from the kindergarten, up till the university level and sometimes even beyond, teachers leave deep impressions upon their pupil’s personalities and lives. The significance of a good teacher can never be undermined. A teacher- student relationship is the most selfless of all relations in which the teacher gives and expects nothing in return. They inspire, guide, mentor, encourage, serve as role models and are akin to parents outside the home.  Teachers selflessly share their knowledge and experiences with their students and count their students’ successes as their own, take pride in their accomplishments and always encourage them to be better versions of themselves.

Nowadays, teacher’s day greetings are exchanged over email’s, WhatsApp messages or Facebook posts. Technology has overtaken the personal touch in every relationship and teacher-student relation is no different. Sources of information have also changed. Earlier we would turn to books and well-read teachers. We had no one except our teachers to clarify our doubts and provide us leads for research, which they so kindly and wilfully did. Now online tutorials and video lectures are the preferred choices for students. Earlier we would spend copious hours in the library reading and researching, now google provides all the information that you need in seconds. But, the credibility of information accessed over the internet cannot be vouched for. Ultimately one has to turn to a teacher for verification and validation.  Thus, one can safely say that teachers are, will be, and have always been, irreplaceable.

“MYTHOLOGY AND US”

Mythology or myth we can say always consists of non humans or something that is hard to
believe but for few it still exist. From the day we born we start to explore the world but many
parts still remained unexplored. In India whenever we start to think or talked about mythology
the first thing come to our mind is about our ancient gods or we start talking about Ramayana,
Mahabharata, Puran etc.
Some people thinks its creation of the society while other things about the existence in Hindu
mythology this area is vast and does not often have consistent monolithic structure it appears in
various version and also it can be represented in different way. Different people worship different
Gods and every ritual have its own story but few still remain unexplained. Indian mythology
doesn’t only have spiritual stories but it also gave a positive message to the society. Hindu
mythology doesn’t only consists of Heroic stories or rituals but it also tells about the reality of
life, cycle of nature, human nature etc.
So naturally, there are different theories on the origin of the world’s oldest religion. Its first
mention can be traced back to the earliest writings of ancient Hindu sages or Rishis.Hinduism is
considered to be the oldest religion in the world. But it is much more than that. The Vedas give
us an insight into ancient science and astronomy. Epics like Mahabharata and Ramayana
narrate divine stories of the never-ending battle between good and evil. These are the reasons
that the rich history of Hindu mythology is fascinating for both Hindus and non-Hindus.
